AAR Japan is an international organization recognized by the UN and founded in 1979 by Yukika Soma to aid refugees in Indonesia. AAR Japan is neutral about religion, politics, and ideology. Since its founding in 1979, AAR Japan has sent aid to more than 60 countries. AAR Japan participated in the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) which received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997. Currently, AAR Japan participates in assisting emergency situations, assisting disabled people, landmines, unexploded ordnance in 15 countries.
Like JIM-Net, AAR Japan also sells chocolate in order to raise money. The chocolates also come from Rokkatei. On the container, there is a drawing of a rabbit named Sunny. Sunny is a mascot for AAR Japan’s campaign for banning landmines. The price of chocolate is 500 yen .
