Doc Nguyen to Serve as a Visiting Scholar at Hiroshima International University

A 36 year old Vietnamese man, Doc Nguyen is going to serve as a visiting scholar in Hiroshima International University starting April of this year. In addition to field works, he will teach peace and the importance of human lives several times a year.

Doc was born as a conjoined twin with his brother Vet in 1980 possibly due to the effects of chemicals used during the Vietnam War. They were separated by an operation in 1988.

Vet passed away in 2007. Doc married in 2006 and has worked various jobs including secretarial work at a hospital and administrative jobs at a Japanese travel agency in Ho Chi Minh.

His desire to teach in Japan came true after he shared his will of wanting to teach in Japan to Vice President of Hiroshima International University Tomiko Kubota.
