Peter Rabbit Garden Cafe
The Peter Rabbit Garden cafe evokes the image of a cottage in the lake district of Northern England. The cafe is themed with Peter Rabbit series and is located in Jiyugaoka, Tokyo. It’s about a 10 minute walk from Jiyugaoka station. The entrance is decorated with style that may remind one of a British garden. There was another Peter Rabbit cafe in Machida, but it was closed in 2016. Inside the cafe is a British country style house, and several stuffed animals of Peter Rabbit are placed sitting on chairs. As the cafe is managed by Rakeru, a company that manages many omelette and omurice restaurants, the cafe also offers omurice menu items. As well, latte art of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin are offered with any order of a hot chocolate or a cafe latte.
On each table two books from the Peter Rabbit series are placed, so you are able to read them for free.
They are in Japanese, but since the story is for children and therefore is mostly written in hiragana, Japanese learners can read them as well. There is only one Peter rabbit book in English on the top of the shelf near the entrance. It could be only for display, but you may ask the staff if you might be able to read it. As there is quite a distance between the kitchen and the dining area, guests need to ring the bell on their tables when they need to call a waitress.
