Sho Sakurai, Kazuya Kamenashi and Keichiro Koyama to Serve as Main Personalities for a 24 Hour TV Program
In a TV show, Arashi Ni Shiyagare on April 15th, the main personalities for the 24 Hour TV program of this year was announced. They were Sho Sakurai, Kazuya Kamenashi and Keichiro Koyama. All of them are members of boy bands from Johnny’s Entertainment (Sakurai from Arashi, Kamenashi from Kattun, Koyama from NEWS). In addition to their jobs as boyband members, the three of them all work as news anchors. Sakurai works on NEWS ZERO, Kamenashi is currently a news anchor on Going! Sports & News, and Koyama is a news anchor on News Every.
The 24 Hour TV program is a charity telethon that started in 1978, and this year will be the 40th time it runs. The donations will be used for various purposes such as towards donations for localities that were affected by 3.11 and towards people with disabilities. This 24 Hour TV program will be broadcasted live on August 26th and 27th this year. The theme for this year’s 24 Hour TV program is kokuhaku (告白), a Japanese word that means confession.
