Ume Blossom Festival at Yushima Tengu Shrine

Between February 8th and March 8th, the Ume Blossom Festival will be held in Yushima Tengu Shrine in Bunkyo-ku Tokyo. Ume is a flower that is similar to the cherry blossom, however it blooms earlier than cherry blossoms do, and can be white or pink whereas cherry blossoms only come in pink. The Yushima Tengu Shrine is known for its beautiful Ume trees. This year will mark the 59th Ume festival hosted by the shrine.
