After graduating from Takushoku University in Tokyo, she worked in PR at a company that produces CDs and computer games.  Between 2011 and 2015, she served as a member of the Kita ward municipal assembly in Tokyo. In October 2015, she resigned from this position and went back to Okayama. She ran for the Okayama seat in the Upper House on July 10, with the endorsement of the LDP. She was elected.
