Uniqlo Recycle
Uniqlo Store at Tokyo Station
In Japan, most uniqlo stores have a donation bin where customers can donate used uniqlo clothings. The clothing will be distributed to refugees in war torn countries. Uniqlo has carried out this campaign in partnership with UNHCR since 2007. Approximately 16,320,000 pieces recycled Uniqlo clothes have been distributed in 59 countries and regions around the world. This system is convenient because normally people need to mail their clothing or call the organization to have them pick up donations at their house. Through this system, one can donate their clothes when they come to the store to buy new ones. Clothing must be washed before donation.
