Yellow Watermelons

In Japan, in addition to regular red watermelons, there are also yellow watermelons called cream watermelons.

Red watermelons are far more common compared to yellow watermelons, with yellow watermelons being a rare find in supermarkets.

Another interesting thing to know about watermelons in Japan is that some Japanese people sprinkle salt on watermelon before they eat it, believing that the salt enhances the sweetness of the watermelon.
